Betreff: [IPPNWFORUM] Release of Urgent Call
Dear Friends,
Today we released the Urgent Call to Step Back from the Brink of Nuclear War to address the growing risk of the use of nuclear weapons. Sincere thanks to everyone who pitched in to make this a success. The final text, with more than 80 endorsements from former Prime Ministers, NGO leaders, retired Generals, medical journal editors, and more, can be found attached. A number of people have told us that the process of soliciting signatures opened some new doors and conversations with prominent leaders, some of whom have not traditionally engaged on the nuclear issue. We appreciate the many IPPNW affiliate members who signed as individuals, though we elected to have our Board Char Ruth Mitchell sign on behalf of our federation so that our presence didn’t overshadow the external high-profile signatories.
Please share the call with your networks, media contacts and on social media.
All the best,
Michael
